Enough with the square pillows

I had planned for a run, but everyone was going for a walk so I joined in. We went to the park. It was fun. I ran 4km, it wasn't too bad. 

Early lunch as we are travelling a couple of hours, all 5 of us in the car to the Dordogne region. Toll roads and tiny one car roads are the French way. 

As our accommodation has a BBQ we stopped on the way to pick up supplies. It is ridiculously hot so nothing but travel in the air conditioning and swimming in the accommodation pool was planned. It's a really nice area so some exploration of the village would be done when it cooled down. 

Just prior I had my second swim for the holiday. The water was cold enough on entry to make Emma cry and decline the invitation.

We went for a walk to the village and it's easy to see why it has won awards as one the most beautiful villages in France.

After the insanely long pillows of the cruise ship, we are done with the European square pillows experiment. Sure, the idea of single bed quilts on a double bed has been adopted but a square pillow belongs on a lounge, and we are going to call it a cushion.
