Driving in Scotland

It's always the most stressful day of the holiday when I pick up the car. I drive in Sydney, so I really should have nothing to worry about.
We picked up the VW Golf a bit after 10am, did a tetris with the luggage and headed out with Jeremy to Cramond Beach and South Queensferry, before heading back to Edinburgh to drop him off, before heading north to Inverness. I only stalled once when I forgot I was driving a manual and not an automatic. We did manage to get an upgrade so we have a gps. The female voice is so polite and asks me to "please take the second exit".
The only food on the way was Maccas, which was quite sad, as was my choice of the McPlant.
Next stop was a green lake (or loch), apparently that colour due to pixies washing their clothes in it. There was a walk involved, but on this holiday,  there always is. On the way back we stumbled upon a tree that had a face in it.  Possibly a left over from one of the Lord of the Rings trees. Please see the picture below. Now I'm being polite.
The weather has finally started turning into what I packed for, so over the next week, all of the long sleeved shirts will be worn, just because I packed them. Dinner was at the Waterfront with the best gravy ever. The meat and Yorkshire pudding were notbthe heroes, but they were very good.
