Those of you who are regular readers will remember reading of long long walks to get to particular restaurants only to find that they are closed. Take a bow Annette as the sign on our morning tea destination said "closed on Tuesdays". So they scrambled into desperation mode to find ridiculously priced pastries for a meal that really shouldn't exist.
Then it was off to the catacombs, the underground final destination of 2 million people's bones. Really a bit bizarre seeing bones meticulously stacked into neat piles. It was nice and cool compared to the outside temperature of 30 something.
I remember walking lots, a nice baguette for lunch and a mandatory visit to a Decathlon store. The walking continued along the river where street vendors sensed the presence of the master shopper. She who frowns on me looking at a new watch added to the ever-growing collection of art in tubes on our lounge room floor.
The pigeons were angry today my friends, using me as target practice, finally hitting my backpack near the Eiffel Tower.
The Tower itself was big and crowded but definitely worth the visit.
The others had previously purchased overpriced meals for a picnic whilst I hit Aldi for my bargain priced meal.
35000 steps later we limped our way into our furnace that we call home. My legs hurt and the future for them is not looking good.
