I think I've been hypnotised

Driving through the city, it never really occurred to me. I saw the sign that said Market Square but did not comprehend. In the 10 minutes of circling, looking for a parking station, it never occurred to me. Not until I got there, did I realise.
The "Market" in Market Square, actually means that there are markets there.
I think that somehow, I may have been hypnotised to believe that the word "Market" means something like "free pizza". Otherwise, apart from stupidity, how did I not know.
Anyway, it was a big Market. We now have a new metal cactus for our garden, and 4 bottles of chilli to add to the collection.
They seem to play both kinds of music in these parts, Country and Western. It's on every radio station and in nearly every shop. I have never been so happy to hear Toto playing in one of the few places willing to go against local music beliefs.
We hit the River Walk which was quite nice, and then did lunch.
I would like to say that no animals were harmed in the making of this lunch, but that would be a lie. I'm pretty sure that a pig and cow and chicken and turkey laid down their lives so that our coleslaw and potato salad would not be lonely on the plate.
Because steps stepped after the lunch are important, we headed to a bit of Texas History at the Alamo. Here is where Davy Crocket (older readers get ready for it) died along with everybody else. You all remember that Davy Crockett had 3 ears? A left ear, a right ear and a wild frontier.
Then it was back to the river walk, into our car, and the inability to find our way out of the parking station.
Eventually we got lucky, made it to the exit and then were not charged the $10. Woohoo, that's more money to spend the next time we have to go to the "free pizzas".
Because our big shopping day is soon, we decided to use our kitchen to make dinner. Bam. The lights went out and the cooktop wouldn't work. 30 minutes later, we were advised where the switchboard was and spaghetti bolognaise was on the way.
FYI, I only ate half a churro out of a possible four. I will use this information wisely later in the holiday to my advantage. Stay tuned. For those of you interested, today Mark was dressed by Lost Property. Just because.
