It's a good thing I'm wearing my brown undies

A 90 minute drive on the wrong side of the road, in foggy conditions and in peak hour was not really how I wanted to start the day. I doubt that I have ever strangled the steering wheel that hard.
...I interrupt this blog with last night's announcement that Kyrie has been traded to the Mavs. I just need Luca to get better.
Anyway, traffic thinned out as we made our way to Enchanted Rock. It's either the big rock we hiked to the summit of, or one of the rocks we could see. What would a holiday be without some solid uphill walk?
From here it was off to an old German town called Fredericksburg. Antique shop was stop number 1 and I believe in what may be a first, nothing was purchased.
Nothing replenishes calories lost on a walk like a Bratwurst and sauerkraut hoagie with mustard and 2 giant pickle spears. The 2nd was a reject from Annette's plate. I'm sure she took a photo of her sandwich.
There was also potato salad. The name of the place will soon be inserted by the editor who currently has noise cancelling headphones on (Old German Bakery & Restaurant). It's a good thing as all of those chilli samples are beginning to kick in.
For those of you who were blog readers back in the New Orleans trip, you may have read about my misadventures with a thing called Death Sauce from a seriously hot condiment shop.
Good news is that I'm still just as stupid when it comes to free samples of really, really hot chilli. After trying many, one called The Widow numbed my mouth for 20 minutes.
I did buy this. Not sure if it was for the flavour or the name.
We checked out some more stores and headed to Walmart because once more, you will realise from the New Orleans chronicles, that Walmart is where the best bras are at. For the Editor, not me......although at the rate of current calorie intake.... (Editor's note: Hanes bras and undies are great and not available in Australia)
The journey was interrupted by the sudden need to stop at the local Pecan Shop to purchase many sugary coated pecans and to astound the lady behind the counter when she realised she had got 2 groups of Australians in consecutive weeks.
Peak hour, accidents and Google maps errors got us home a bit later than planned. Did some laundry, ate a home cooked meal and am now preparing for another sleepless night.
Tomorrow is shopping Tuesday at the factory outlets. Stand by for us blowing all of our holiday money in just 4 days.
I also reunited myself with Pepsi Max today. It's called Pepsi Zero, but I can live with that.
