Off to the big d

Packed our bags, packed the car, did a brief walk around the block and left for Dallas.

15 minutes in, we once more raided Walmart for their entire bra population, and a new bag for me for future travel.

I'm sure the Houston stupid road system goes for at least an hour. Then we saw some trees. Tick nature off the things to do this holiday.

Next stop Dallas....unless we stop at Buc-ees.

We arrived in Dallas with enough time to visit the 6th Floor Museum, site of the JFK assassination. That plan was shelved when our credit cards started to be frozen by the banks as we tried to pay our parking meter. It took so long that the Museum wasn't going to happen. 

We decided to head to our condo and after many attempts of finding the entrance and the fear of decapitation of the car by the gate when it opened, we were in. Once we found the lift, our room and our key code, we were in. 

Just enough time to dump our stuff and head out again after many messages to the various banks.

We found ourselves free parking. Whew. We walked around for an hour to Dealy Plaza

and I even won a photography contest against the Editor.

I decided it was my turn to cook dinner so on the way home we stopped at Aldi (not as good as Australian Aldi). When I say cook dinner,  I mean cutting the plastic and putting some more cheese and pineapple on the pizza before putting in the oven. Now it seems as though every time the oven opens, the smoke alarm goes off. At the time of writing this blog, it has gone off 4 times.We can just reach it with the broom handle.

We think that the TV will get the superbowl. Time will tell.
