We took an early morning group walk and saw a temple (the Vietnamese version of a European Cathedral). Also a Catholic church, because a holiday without stained glass is unacceptable.
Then it was back to our sauna-like hotel room. Last night we decided to use the washer/ dryer. Unfortunately, only 50% of that combo worked, leaving us with wet clothes. We utilised all of the coat hangers and, with the aircon turned on 28 degrees, attempted an indoor air dry. We were still drying after breakfast.
Onto the bus and to the airport for our 3 hour wait, prior to a 1 hour flight. I had my first egg coffee for the trip. Sooo much sugary sweetness.
Tour guide found, it was onto a bus for 45 minutes and straight onto an open air electric vehicle for a trip into town to get a meal in a tiny restaurant.
The editor was impressed, but it wasn't sweet and sour pork for breakfast good.
A short walk and we were on a small boat to do a short stint up the river in order to put some lit lanterns into the water in order to have a wish come true. On the way to the boat, our guide got us all a banh mi, because we obviously looked hungry. Only 2 of us were able to finish them, I write with great pride.
