Still Surprised

The trip to Halong Bay has been like Deja Vu all over again.
Breakfast was more like what normal people eat. Bacon, egg, toast and jam, yoghurt, soup, coffee. Sigh. If they bring it, I have to eat it.
From there we hopped on our little putt putt boat and headed to the Surprising Caves. Last time I climbed the many steps into and out of the cave, my knees were good. Today they are not my friends.
It's one of the better caves I have done and is highly recommended in my list of caves you should visit at least twice in your life.
We then headed back to a 10 course brunch. The food just kept coming as we made our way back to dry land.
Then it was onto the bus for 5 hours of head nodding "I'm not asleep" travel. We stopped at the same pearl factory and shops as 2023, although I didn't buy the weasel coffee this time (there are still 2 packets at home).
Clothes in washing, walk for a couple hours, banh mi for dinner again.
I also had something called a UFO burger. Mystery meat, cheese and sauce on a brioche bun. It was more dessert than savoury.
No walk can ever finish without looking for dessert. Mission accomplished. I can't wait to try my new coffee.
