It's 5am and time to wake up. At least that's what the 2 workmen across the road are telling me. With sleep out of the question it's time to reflect on what happened yesterday.
The flight arrived and we made our way through customs with relative ease. Not sure why or how it took so long. Got our Opal, oops sorry, Oyster cards and set off for Notting Hill on the tube. This was our initiation into the fact that all of the stations require the climbing of many stairs. This is such fun with suitcases and hand luggage. We, by that I mean Annette, which I guess is like a Royal We, and it seems appropriate that we are in London (what did I just say?). We found the shop that sells the SIM cards, found our way to our accommodation and successfully got the phone ready and got in touch with our host. After the climbing of many more stairs with luggage in hand and gravity working overtime, I came to the conclusion that the hernia operation must have been a success.
A quick shower and more stairs later we met up with Jeremy and Claire, grabbed our first food since our very early breakfast, and searched some markets. Annette is a bit off her game as she spent nothing.
We made our way back to our accommodation to pick up presents for dinner time.....and then left without them. Lucky we realised in time.
Hit the tube to Wimbledon to check out Jeremy's place, then headed to meet Candi and Riley for dinner. 6 people, 5 pizzas and a pasta later it was time to head home and sleep, until I got woken up.......but you know all about that.
