We found the correct station and found a croissant (did I mention that yesterday Annette didn't have morning tea? Nobody had picked that option in the betting pool and the payout would have been huge).
We got through immigration, stood in the duty free shop for half an hour waiting for the barrier to our platform to open, and marvelled that someone would pay 174 Euros for a pair of sunglasses.
Finally on board, the trip was fast, the tunnel dark and we arrived on time.
Jeremy met us and off to Wimbledon we went. After 3 weeks of carrying Milo, Shapes, Tim Tams, macadamias and Vegemite around, it was good to finally shed that weight.
Unwittingly, we ate way too much prior to heading off to afternoon tea. Sooo much food but really good to catch up with family on the other side of the world.
We had time for a one hour walk, saw Wimbledon getting ready for Wimbledon, marvelled at how anybody could afford to buy a house here and then headed back to catch the train back to Belgium.
We had planned on a light snack on return but our train was running 45 minutes late, there were no seats in the waiting area and our arrival would be very late.
So leftover scones on the train with Coke or tea it was (and still not our worst meal). Back home around 10 and needing some serious sleep.
