Two long tram rides and we were there. This was a real flea market where you could buy anything from a sex toy to a lawnmower to a fishing rod to a 1960s telephone to a rug and sword combo. For future reference, stall b65 is where you get the combo.
I finally purchased something on the holiday: a Bruce Cockburn album (the one that doesn't have his one song on); a Pete Seeger album (as I only just watched the new Bob Dylan fillum); and a Shneider With The Kick album (meaning I have both an LP and cassette from them).
That's right - a cover of 'Rock n Roll Outlaw'.
Back to home for lunch and Annette went to the museum or art gallery and saw an exhibition of a guy whose painting we have in our powder room back in Australia.
I don't even think we have powder in our powder room, so her art declaration may or may not be true.
Editor's note: Alphonse Mucha, an Art Nouveau artist, created posters for Sarah Bernhardt, advertising posters (I think the one at home is for beer) and other art series. Here's a set of postcards I bought:
Leftover meat patty from last night was excellent.
For my own reference, the dressing I made out of what I think was balsamic vinegar, some sugar, garlic, chopped up tomatoes and a splash of water, was excellent.
A storm happened while Annette was gone, but the TV remote was close by so turning up the volume took little effort.
At 3:00, we left for one last look around. We went to visit an island, only to discover we had already been there. At least on the Charles Bridge, where we had previously been whilst getting rained on, we were able to get a selfie.
The rain had gone but it was blowing a gale. I couldn't work out how windy it was but here is my best effort:
Tradition, which started about 2 weeks ago, dictates that we make our meals, as we are in self-catering apartments, but on the last night at a location, we eat local.
Tonight we got takeaway Pad Thai and crispy sweet and sour chicken (no strange taste - refer to previous Facebook post) with rice from a food court in a shopping complex. Technically still local.
It was delicious and it was filling.
Annette booked seats on trains earlier in the day, as standing for 4 hours on a train that is full is not ideal. For Eurail tips, please contact her on Australia return. Bring pastry.
We packed, tidied, walked and dried clothes, all in preparation for an early exit in the morning.
