The 45 minute parliament house tour was very good. Lots of steps, a good audio guide and it was done.
We had time on our side, so went searching for all the little squares and statues and, gulp, fabric (look at me not calling it material) shops on the list. Bless them for having a special Husband Seat.
From there is was back home to cook up some lunch. Annette had the pig chicken, whilst I had an outstanding pan-fried bolognaise, cheese and rocket sandwich.
Then we put on our cossies and headed for the Széchenyi baths.
There are outdoor thermal baths and indoor thermal baths, ranging from 20 degrees to 38 degrees. We tried them all. 20 is freezing in comparison to the others.
Annette used all the saunas and steam rooms. I spent 4 minutes in a sauna, which is a new record for me.
We spent about 2 1/2 hours there. Well worth a visit and all the people who said negative things in reviews are clueless, but probably won a prize from our stupid tour guide. Let it go. Breathe.
A bit more walking, some more public transport and we settled down for a nice Hungarian Goulash at the pub around the corner.
