grrr

Great breakfast at the venue (wedding onsite accommodation), was preceded by a 5km run, because as predicted I woke at 5am.
Goodbyes said we drove the hire car back to be told the tyre is damaged. This is what happens all the time. They have my $200 deposit. Not sure how they get the rest as I gave them a debit card that has been depleted. They say £1,500 for what they said was a damaged tyre. A $300 travel insurance excess and hopefully Westpac fixes up the rest. Breathe. It will be OK.
Easyjet to Rome was 90 minutes late, the luggage didn't turn up for 45 minutes.
They call Rome the Eternal city. That's because that's how long it takes to get your luggage. We found our driver, who drove like a maniac. He wanted a tip for doing his job.
In Rome, the hotels don't necessarily have signs. He dropped us at the right street, wrong green door. It was 10:09pm. Check in was by 10pm. We managed to get in touch with a woman telling us to ring  the buzzer. There was no buzzer. We were 2 green doors away. She retrieved us, and after a few trips in the world's tiniest lift, got to our room and ate leftover snacks from the wedding for dinner.
