To the UK

At the supermarket right on 7:30am opening time, we loaded up with drinks and yoghurt and pastries. 12 Francs was excellent value.
Packed up and ready to go, it was decided not to find out if the tram went to the station, but rather, have a bit of exercise on a day of planes, trains and automobiles.
Got the number 50 bendy bus to the airport and found our way to British Airways check in. While all the stupid people lined up in the priority queue, we made the decision that this line was not for us. We started our own line.
It was the right choice.
Time for the females to have one last way too expensive cuppa.
Did I mention we left at 8:15am?
Plane (to London), train (over crowded and over priced and also suffering from Cityrail disease of trackwork), another train, walking, and we met the rest of the holiday expansion at Paddington Station.
It was 3:30pm.
The cobblestones of Europe have killed my bag wheels, but my upper body strength is such that I am now carrying 18kg over my shoulder. Fueled by disgusting McFries as my only sustenance since breakfast, we headed to the groom's place, dumped our big luggage and headed for our very nice Airbnb (our room is on the 2nd floor with steep, winding stairs, hence no large luggage). We have previously stayed here.
We're staying in Wimbledon during the tennis season so there are reminders everywhere, in case you'd forgotten.
At night we had dinner with everyone including the soon to be Mr and Mrs.
I slept well and didn't smash my head on the typically sloped English upper floor ceiling, as predicted.
